About Emenla

It started close to home.

Emenla is an iOS app for keeping a record of endometriosis in your own words and taking it with you to your appointments.

  • Made in Poland
  • Independent
  • For people with endometriosis, everywhere

Our founder watched people they love live with endometriosis, and saw how much pain it caused them and how hard they had to fight it.

We asked first

We do not live with endometriosis ourselves. So before building anything, we asked people who do what it had cost them, and read what they had already written.

  • 10public sources, read and sorted
  • 108questions in one public Q&A, read in full
  • 515comments in one thread about getting through a flare
  • 6people who wrote back at length, two of them in structured interviews

None of their words appear on this site. Consent to post something publicly is not consent to appear in someone's product.

Our mission

Being believed about your own body should not take a decade.

Studies have found that diagnosis commonly takes 4 to 11 years. An app cannot change that alone. Emenla helps you walk into an appointment prepared, with what you felt in your own words and the clinical name beside each one.

What we promise

  • You decide what it means.

Emenla names what you describe and counts what you logged. It will never tell you what you have.

  • Your record is not for sale.

The app has no ads and no trackers, and this site sets no cookies. We do not sell or share what you log.

  • Logging stays free.

Writing down what you feel will never sit behind a payment.

Where we are today

Clinical review
Not yet. The clinical terms follow ESHRE 2022, NICE NG73 and ACOG 2026, with the source beside each one. We have written to seventeen gynaecologists, physiotherapists and dietitians to ask them to read the wording. A few have replied. When one has reviewed it, we will name them here if they agree.
People using it
Nobody yet, which is why you will find no reviews here.
Who owns it
We do. No clinic, brand, pharmaceutical or supplement company owns or funds Emenla.
Your data
Your symptom record is kept on your phone, not on our servers. Privacy lists everything that is not.

The pictures on this site

The film at the top of the home page is a generated image. The app screens are frames from a recording of the app, the figure on its body map is a generated image, and the doctor's page is a sample made from invented entries. The pictures in the history are pages and a photograph from public collections, credited where they appear. The devices are Apple's product images from Apple Design Resources, shown as provided. Nobody shown is a patient.
